Surprizes Without Strings…WHAT THE?!

Published by under Journal

What is Surprizes Without Strings?

In a nutshell, it’s my crazy hobby.  I send anonymous cash surprises to random strangers all over the world for fun - no strings attached.  Seriously!!

Why?

Why not?!!

Can I do it?

Sure you can.  Just download this letter, print it, sign it "Anonymous Australian" (or whatever nationality you are), attach cash or a cheque and mail it to someone you don’t know.  Easy!

Is anonymity important?

Yes.  Remember, no strings.

How will I know if the recipient gets the letter okay?

You wont.  Increase the chances of at least someone getting it by adding "or current resident" to the address. For example: J. Bloggs (or current resident), 5 Smith Street, Looneyville, Australia 5555

How much should I send?

It doesn’t matter.  It’s up to you.  $5, $10, $15, $500 or more – it’s your choice.  Just don’t send coins!!

How do I pick a random recipient?

It doesn’t matter.  Go to your local post office and grab any phone book, open a page, close your eyes and drop your finger on to the page.  Or you could do what I do and use online phone directories like the White Pages for different countries.  First, I get a name and postcode using a fake name generator (google ‘fake name generator’), then I enter that name and postcode into the online phone directory.  I’ll then get a number of how many people were found in the directory with that name and postcode.  I then enter that number into a random number generator (google ‘random number generator’) which will pick a number for me.  That number is the person I send the surprise too.  Easy!!

Do you send them overseas?

Yes!  I just make sure to attach the right currency for that country.

Do you have to be rich to do this?

No way!  I am an ordinary person who works full time.  This is my hobby.  Instead of buying model planes, stamps or knitting wool…I give money to strangers.

Why again?

Just because I can…and it’s nice to be nice!!
